Dear Friends and Supporters of LakewoodAlive,
At this time of Thanksgiving, I would like to extend my gratitude to Ian Andrews for 14 years of dedicated service to our local non-profit community development organization. Ian has communicated his intent to depart LakewoodAlive, effective January 7, 2026 to pursue an exciting role with the City of Lakewood. Our board of directors and entire community are deeply grateful for his tireless commitment to our mission and the many ways he has strengthened our neighborhoods, aided small businesses, and further supported our vibrant community spirit. Under his leadership, LakewoodAlive has continued to grow as a trusted resource for all those who live and work in Lakewood. We wish Ian and his family the best as the next chapter of his career takes hold.
To ensure a smooth transition, the LakewoodAlive Board of Directors has appointed our current operations manager, Jo Higgins, as Interim Executive Director. She brings great experience, deep care for Lakewood, and a steady hand to guide the organization during this time. The Board has also formed a Transition Committee to oversee and guide the search process for LakewoodAlive’s next Executive Director.
Please know that our programs, services and events will continue uninterrupted. Our talented staff remains committed to the work that makes LakewoodAlive so special—from housing outreach and small business support to community events and neighborhood engagement.
On behalf of the Board, we express our heartfelt thanks to Ian for his leadership and contributions, and to all of you—our partners, volunteers, and supporters—for standing with us through this next chapter. LakewoodAlive’s strength has always come from the people who believe in this community, and that spirit continues stronger than ever.
