About Streetscape Beautification Projects
LakewoodAlive has and continues to work closely with the City of Lakewood on various Streetscape Improvement Projects. One of the most notable projects we have worked with the City of Lakewood on is the Warren Road Beautification Project.
Rolled out in three phases, covering 1.5 miles, and spanning 7 years, LakewoodAlive worked hand-in-hand with the City to leverage Cuyahoga County funding to beautify Warren Road from Lakewood Heights Boulevard to Detroit Avenue.
Working with multiple partners including Greater Cleveland Transit, this project included art installations on two bus shelters, the addition of 14 planter boxes, planting of 16 trees, enhancing two new crosswalks, installing four large murals, placing public art on two traffic signal boxes, and landscaping both corners of Warren Road at Lakewood Heights Boulevard.
Currently our partners at the City of Lakewood are in the early stages of another public art installation, planning to wrap 40+ traffic control boxes with vinyl wraps that will feature art from multiple artists and artist groups.
