About Blossoms Flower Box Program

Making Lakewood storefronts more attractive and inviting during the Summer season, our Blossoms Flower Box program is all about beautification for Lakewood’s commercial corridors!

In partnership with Lakewood Garden Center, LakewoodAlive provides professionally arranged Earth Box planters with flowers appropriate for the sun or shade needs of each business’ location. The boxes are delivered–thanks to helpful volunteers–in late May/early June, are watered weekly by LakewoodAlive volunteers, and removed in the fall to be stored for the winter.

The Earth Box planters come with stands to elevate them, and have built-in water reservoirs that significantly reduce watering requirements.

LakewoodAlive’s Blossom Program includes:

  • The delivery of beautiful professionally planted Earth Box(es) at your storefront in late May/early June
  • Weekly watering service by LakewoodAlive volunteers
  • Convenient end of season pick up, cleaning, and winter storage of the Earth Boxes
