LakewoodAlive’s Accomplishments

How LakewoodAlive Serves
LakewoodAlive is a non-profit that acts as a Community Development Corporation and a separate entity from the City of Lakewood. We work very closely with our partners at the City of Lakewood and other local organizations to support Lakewood’s amazing small business community and its historic housing stock.
There are three focal points to what we do: Housing Outreach, Small Business Support, and Community Events. Through these three things, we can fulfill our mission of fostering and sustaining vibrant and welcoming neighborhoods in Lakewood. Our programs are geared towards Lakewood residents and business owners.

Check Out Our Events
Our Community Events are open to all, not just Lakewood residents! Many of our events are free to attend, and we host these events year after year to help build a sense of community here in Lakewood.
From our large-scale events like Light Up Lakewood and the Lakewood Summer Meltdown, to our Birdtown Picnic and Front Porch Concert Series, we love hosting events that give people something to look forward to and help build connections between neighbors near and far.
Our Values in Motion - Follow Along!
Congratulations to our Executive Director Ian Andrews on being named a 2025 Notable Leader in Philanthropy by Crain`s Cleveland Business! ✨👏
Not only does he lead our team but also continuously forges strong partnerships with the City of Lakewood, small businesses, local organizations, and community leaders to further our mission of fostering and sustaining vibrant and welcoming neighborhoods.
Congratulations again for this well deserved honor! 🥳🙌

Huge thank you to everyone who donated during our recent fundraising campaign! 💚✨🧡🎉
Your financial support helps residents live in healthy & safe housing, local entrepreneurs bring their unique businesses to Lakewood, and improves our community through free events and beautification projects.

Happy Independence Day Lakewood! 🎆🇺🇲
Our Board, Staff, and volunteers had a wonderful time walking in the parade and passing out candy and dog bones this morning 🍬🍭🐶
Our office is closed today and we hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Huge thanks to our skilled volunteer group, the A-Team! 👷♂️💪 Each year, they take on bigger home repair projects for low-income residents in need.
Most recently, they saved a garage that had partially slipped off its foundation.. They reinforced the wall framing, jacked the rear wall back into place, and replaced rotting sections of wood. On the exterior, they installed gutters, flashing, and a downspout to prevent future issues.
Thanks to the A-Team, this garage was repaired just in time—before it became beyond saving!
